ADJECTIVE EXAMPLE “CALM” I described the music as being calm because the TEMPO was moderately slow and the music was soft and gentle to my mind. The MELODY in with the string instruments was soothing and relaxing. The RHYTHM was rapid yet smooth as the flute and clarinet sections played together. The DYNAMICS were very soft, light and delicate.

ADJECTIVE EXAMPLE “JOY” I feel congratulated, a somewhat of an achievement. The use of strings and some type of woodwind gives off the emotion of JOY because the notes never hit deep (low). Most of the notes are high pitched with a flowing sweet melody which made me feel exuberant.
