3. Founding Fathers  John Dickinson was later named after a College.  John Adams was the 2 nd President of the United States.  George Washington was the Commander of the Continental Army.  Benjamin Franklin was known for inventing the Light bulb.

4. 3 Regions  New England: Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island.  Middle Colonies: New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware.  Southern Colonies: Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia.

5. What makes the Regions unique  New England: Fishing, Whaling, Trapping, Ship Building, and Logging.  Middle Colonies: Farming, Grain, Oats, Textiles, Paper Making, Blacksmiths, Silver Smiths, Cobblers, Wheel Wrights, Wig Makers, and Milliners.  Southern Colonies: Rice, Indigo, Tobacco, Sugar Cane, and Cotton.

6. Jobs/Tools  A Tailor measures cloth and cuts it along measurements.  A Blacksmith makes metal into tools.  A Cooper crafts casks and wooden items.  3 tools used in Colonial times were Augers, Chisels, and Saws.

7. Family Life/Food  Colonial Families houses looked like modern day houses.  Some of the food that the Colonial people ate were Apple Tansy, Carolina Fish Muddles, and Gazpacho.

8. Clothing  Some of the men’s clothing were Banyans, Breeches, and a Coat.  Some of the Women’s clothing were Hooped Petticoats, Stays, and Shifts.

9. Games  Some of the games Colonial people liked to play were Board Games, Puzzles, Cards, Stilts, and Ninepins

10. Music  Some of the instruments used to make music in Colonial Times were Fifes, Drums, and String Instruments.
