I.Living It! – How have you lived being a.Chosen by God, holy, set apart, a saint. b.Able to approach God with boldness, freedom, and confidence.

II.In Christ a.In Christ, I have been bought with a price and I belong to God 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (NCV) 19 You should know that your body is a temple for the Holy Spirit who is in you. You have received the Holy Spirit from God. So you do not belong to yourselves, 20 because you were bought by God for a price. So honor God with your bodies.

b.In Christ, I have been rescued from Satan ’ s domain and transferred into the kingdom of Christ. I am born God and the evil one cannot touch me. Colossians 1:13 (NIV) 13 For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, 1 John 5:18 (NCV) 18 We know that those who are God ’ s children do not continue to sin. The Son of God keeps them safe, and the Evil One cannot touch them.

c.In Christ, I have been adopted and become a child of God. Ephesians 1:5 (NCV) 5 Because of his love, God had already decided to make us his own children through Jesus Christ. That was what he wanted and what pleased him John 1:12 (NCV) 12 But to all who did accept him and believe in him he gave the right to become children of God.

d.In Christ, I have been given a spirit of power, love, and self-discipline. 2 Timothy 1:6-7 (NASB) 6 For this reason I remind you to kindle afresh the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands. 7 For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and discipline.

What do you get a sense of as you listen to all of these concepts/scriptures together Jesus rescued me and paid an incredible price for me. He made me a part of His family. He has given me all I need to live an incredible life.

Ephesians 1:7 (NASB) 7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace Redemption is the act of buying something back, or paying a price to return something to your possession.

God has given us the same thing. Let’s use it to share some power, love and a sound mind with a world that desperately needs it.

III. Summary – In Christ, we are redeemed, adopted and fill with power, love and self-discipline.
