2015 CAASPP Institutes Institute Learning Goals 1.School and district teams deepen their understanding about how to use each component of the Smarter Balanced Assessment System to improve teaching and learning. 2.School and district teams will deepen their understanding about how to use the components of the Smarter Balanced Assessment System integrate and work together as a system with work already planned for 2015-2016. ___ Each institute comprises of a two all-day sessions and free. LEAs will be invited to send teams of 5 or 6 members with various areas of expertise. A flyer and announcement inviting LEAs to send a team should be coming out in the next few weeks.

2015 North-South Information Meetings The 2015 North-South Information Meeting will be held this year in Sacramento and Ontario. These meetings will provide local educational agencies updates on a number of important topics related to California’s assessment system. South Meeting Tuesday, September 29, 2015 Doubletree Hotel Ontario Empire Ballroom 222 North Vineyard Avenue Ontario, California Registration Information Online registration information and presentation topics will be available late August 2015.
