Covetousness Defined Extreme desire for things - gain in dishonest way
Love of Money Pharisees - Luke 16:14 “who were covetous” 2 Tim. 3:2 - “lovers of money” - “covetous” A person does not have to be rich to be covetousness, nor does he have to be rich to make riches his god !

Warnings about covetousness
“Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that [is] thy neighbour's.” Exodus 20:17 Psalms 119:36 “and not to covetousness” Habakkuk 2:6 Woe to him that increaseth [that which is] not his! Isaiah 5:8 “Woe unto them that…”

Covetousne$$ A common Sin Let us learn that “things” are not the most important “things” ! What difference will it make 100 years from now ?

Covetousne$$ “For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul.” Matt. 16:26 Happiness is not determined by what we have but by what we are !
