2 People must be ready for a Smart City A city can be defined as ‘smart’ when investments in human and social capital and traditional (transport) and modern (ICT) communication infrastructure fuel sustainable economic development and a high quality of life.

3 An approach to an Inclusive and a Sustainable City A smart city will be a city whose community has learned to learn, adapt and innovate. This can include a strong focus on the aim to achieve the social inclusion of various urban residents in public services and emphasis on citizen participation in co-design

4 We need a strategy to create a competitive environment Local intelligence capacity is intrinsically linked to that of the knowledge-based economy where innovation and technology are main drivers of growth and the collective community intelligence, which underlines capacity and networks as main drivers of a community's success

5 What is a Game Changer A game changer has new and different ideas that stand out from the crowd. This person has an idea that completely changes the way a situation develops. Companies employ this tactic to create ideas or events that change the outcome of a plan.

6 Potential Game Changers new technologies allow us to rethink many of the premises of education—location and time; E- Learning (Blogs, Chats and video content) Shift to digital courseware material Culture change: We need to build Core Technical Skills – Engineering, Software Development, SAP skills Networking skills, Financial, Project Management

7 What really makes a City ? “Smarter cities can only reach their potential through smarter people, a workforce that is properly educated and qualified in the latest technologies, The quality of services particularly in education will matter more in the new Smart Cities.”
