2 iPad Care Your iPad is YOUR responsibility. If you break it or lose it you are responsible for paying for the repair or replacement. Keep your iPad in it’s case at all times. NEVER, ever, leave your iPad unattended. It should remain with you at ALL times. If you don’t know where your iPad is, report it to Ms. Beck immediately! Even if school is over. The faster you report it, the more likely we are to recover it. Keep your iPad dry! If you need to clean the screen use a soft micro-fiber cloth, NEVER water or glass cleaner. Keep your iPad around room temperature, do not leave it in a car or outside where it may over heat or get caught in the rain.

3 iPad Rules Yes – You must keep the iPad in its otter box case at all times. No – You may not put it in a different case. Yes – You may download personal photos for customizing your iPad. You can only have 50 total photos and your photos must be school appropriate. No – You may not go on Facebook (or other social networking sites) on your iPad. Yes – You must have a passcode on your iPad. It must be the last 4 digits of your student number. No – You may not download music or videos on your iPad for non-academic purposes. Yes – You must remain on task at all times when using the iPad at school. No – You may not email friends from your student email account, unless told to do so by a teacher. Yes – You must bring a FULLY CHARGED iPad to school with you EVERY DAY

4 Setting a Passcode  Tap Settings  Tap General  Tap Passcode lock  Tap Turn Passcode On  Enter the last 4 digits of your student number twice.  Hit the Home Button to End.

5 Connect to WiFi  Tap Settings  Tap Wifi  Tap LMHS-Student  or LMH-BYOD if you brought your own.  Login by Entering  Username: LastName.FirstName  Last name cuts off after 10 characters  First name cuts off after 6 characters  Password: 10 Digit Student #  Tap Join  Tap Accept

6 Setting Up Email Part 1  Go to the LMHS website  Tap Outlook Student Email  Login by entering:  Username: LastName.FirstName@student.lake.k12.fl.us  Last name cuts off after 10 characters  First name cuts off after 6 characters  Password: 10 Digit Student #  Set Time Zone  -5:00 Eastern Time  Tap Save

7 Setting Up Email Part 2  Add Your Email to Your iPad  Tap Mail  Microsoft Exchange  Email Address: LastName.FirstName@student.lake.k12.fl.us  Domain: LEAVE THIS BLANK  Server: m.outlook.com  Username: LastName.FirstName@student.lake.k12.fl.us  First name cuts off after 6 characters  Password: Full 10 Digit Student Number  Description: LMH Student Email  Next  Save

8 Schoology  Schoology Online Set-Up.  URL: http://Schoology.comhttp://Schoology.com  Online and App go to Sign Up  Student  Enter the access code provided by your teacher.  Complete the form (Use your information, not an alias)  Password: Pick something you will remember  You only need to make one account. You will use your other teachers access code to join their class

9 Schoology  Join a class.  Courses  Join  Enter the access code provided by your teacher.
