1 School Lookup * must be completed before applicants are able to complete the FERPA Release Authorization or invite recommenders. The HS entered in the Education screen determines if recommendations will be submitted via Common App or Naviance.

3 Naviance eDocs school – Student view A student attending a High School that uses Naviance eDocs to submit forms will invite all recommenders in his/her Naviance account.

10 Essay Requirement Summary Colleges can choose to require or not require a personal essay Applicants always have the option to submit an essay if they wish to do so If an essay is required for a particular college, that requirement will be enforced during the submission process Individual college essay requirements will be reflected in multiple places within the application Like all other parts of the application, the essay will remain editable for all applicants, at any time
