19. a) Form Play around with the shapes of things… Look at how the shape of these flowers has been used and played with.

22. Your turn… Create an abstract picture to fit the title: Forgiveness You might like to think about it in 3 sections: (i) The betrayal (ii) The journey of seeking forgiveness (iii) The relief and joy of being forgiven

23. The betrayal  Where will you start your picture?  Will you use symbols: - brokenness? - greed? - cowardice (not being brave)? - damaging words?  What shapes and colours represent the feelings:  Loneliness  Disappointment  Hurt  Anger  Fear  Sadness

24. The journey to seek forgiveness  Was this an easy journey?  How would others react to what he had done?  What about his shame?  How would Jesus react?  Did Peter need to be brave?  Was it hard for him to be honest about what had happened?  What colours and shapes will you use?  How will you link this section to what you have already done?

25. The joy and relief  How would Peter have felt? – what colours could show these emotions?  What might he do next? – how could you represent this in your artwork?

26. Explanation  How did you choose the colours in your piece?  Have you included any symbols? What do they represent?  What would you like someone viewing your painting to notice?
