Food waste in the UK Food redistributed by FareShare Food that has potential for consumption & redistribution i.e. “surplus” Food wasted yearly by the UK food industry 5,500 tonnes 300,000 to 400,000 tonnes 3,900,000 tonnes FareShare redistributes 1.5 % of surplus food available annually
