Homework will look different depending on the unit/content Some examples: Paper/pencil,* math journals, projects, & online sources Students are expected to know their multiplication tables Critical thinking and asking students WHY is now happening in math Textbooks will remain in homeroom desks...If needed will go home with student Homework

The state requires certain grades to pass the state assessment. (SSI) Students must pass the test to move on to sixth grade. Tremendous growth is made in fifth grade. They exceed our expectations. They exceed our expectations. STAAR Math

If your child is going to be absent make sure to contact the front office; if not they will call you to check on your kiddo. A note needs to be given to the office when the child returns to school (full AND partial absence) Students that arrive after 8:00AM or leave early are also required to have a note. If it isn’t a doctors note, a hand written note needs to be provided. Arriving late and early releases for personal business are considered unexcused (These count towards state laws).
