“He Lives” I serve a Risen Savior, He’s in the world today; I know that He is living, whatever men may say: I see His hand of mercy, I hear His voice of cheer, and just the time I need Him, He’s always near.
10
“He Lives” He lives, He lives, Christ Jesus lives today! He walks with me and talks with me along life’s narrow way. He lives, He lives, salvation to impart! You ask me how I know He lives; He lives with-in my heart.
11
“He Lives” In all the world around me I see His loving care, and tho’ my heart grows weary I never will despair; I know that He is leading thro’ all the stormy blast, the day of His appearing will come at last.
12
“He Lives” He lives, He lives, Christ Jesus lives today! He walks with me and talks with me along life’s narrow way. He lives, He lives, salvation to impart! You ask me how I know He lives; He lives with-in my heart.
13
“He Lives” Rejoice, Rejoice, O Christian, lift up your voice and sing eternal Hallelujahs to Jesus Christ the King! The hope of all who seek Him, the help of all who find, none other is so loving, so good and kind.
14
“He Lives” He lives, He lives, Christ Jesus lives today! He walks with me and talks with me along life’s narrow way. He lives, He lives, salvation to impart! You ask me how I know He lives; He lives with-in my heart.
15
Now you, man of God, run from these things; but pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance, and gentleness. Fight the good fight for the faith; take hold of eternal life, to which you were called and have made a good confession before many witnesses. In the presence of God, who gives life to all, and before Christ Jesus, who gave a good confession before Pontius Pilate, I charge you to keep the commandment without spot

or blame until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ, which God will bring about in His own time. [He is] the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings, and the Lord of lords. 1 Timothy 6:11-15 (HCSB)

“SPIRITUAL INTENSITY MUST BE RENEWED” Pastor Groover
19
Introduction “The greatest threat to the Christian world today is not the evil outside, but rather the apathy inside”...Charles Stanley
20
How would you describe your intensity for Jesus? Where does our intensity come from?
21
I. OUR INTENSITY COMES FROM THE COMMANDMENT.
22
Now you, man of God, run from these things; but pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance, and gentleness…keep the commandment without spot or blame until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Timothy 6:11, 14 (HCSB)
23
II. OUR INTENSITY COMES FROM THE CALLING.
24
Fight the good fight for the faith; take hold of eternal life, to which you were called and have made a good confession before many witnesses. 1 Timothy 6:12 (HCSB)
25
Dear friends, although I was eager to write you about our common salvation, I found it necessary to write and exhort you to contend for the faith that was delivered to the saints once for all. Jude 1:3 (HCSB)
26
III. OUR INTENSITY COMES FROM THE CONFESSION.
27
“Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses. In the sight of God, who gives life to everything, and of Christ Jesus, who while testifying before Pontius Pilate made the good confession, I charge you…” 1 Timothy 6:12b-13 (NIV)
28
IV. OUR INTENSITY COMES FROM THE COMING.
29
“…that you obey this command without wavering. Then no one can find fault with you from now until our Lord Jesus Christ comes again. For at just the right time Christ will be revealed from heaven by the blessed and only almighty God, the King of all kings and Lord of all lords.” 1 Timothy 6:14-15 (NLT)
30
CONCLUSIONS The level of intensity for Jesus Christ is determined by this action - We must first dethrone self and enthrone Jesus!
31
CONCLUSIONS “If you are like a wheel barrow - going no farther than you are pushed - you need not apply for work here!” Jed Smith

HOW TO KNOW WHEN JESUS IS OUR LORD
33
1. Jesus Christ is my Lord when I obey the initial prompting of the Holy Spirit without hesitation or argument.
34
But the Holy Spirit will come and help you, because the Father will send the Spirit to take my place. The Spirit will teach you everything and will remind you of what I said while I was with you. John 14:26 (CEV)
35
Don’t be drunk with wine, because that will ruin your life. Instead, be filled with the Holy Spirit. Ephesians 5:18 (NLT)
36
2. Jesus Christ is my Lord when I am committed to fulfilling His will for my life before I even know what He will require of me.
37
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. Romans 12:2 (ESV)
38
3. Jesus Christ is my Lord when I am available to serve Him without regard to time, or circumstances.
39
Then the multitude rose up together against them; and the magistrates tore off their clothes and commanded them to be beaten with rods. And when they had laid many stripes on them, they threw them into prison, commanding the jailer to keep them securely. Acts 16:22-23 (NKJV)
40
4. Jesus Christ is my Lord when I recognize His ownership of my total life, including possessions.
41
Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself, for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (NLT)
42
My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. Galatians 2:20 (NLT)
43
5. Jesus Christ is my Lord when I look to Him as the source of all my needs and desires. God will work out His providential provisions in my life.
44
Trust in the Lord, and do good; Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness. Delight yourself also in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart. Psalms 37:3-4 (NKJV)
45
We know that all things work together for the good of those who love God: those who are called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28 (HCSB)
46
6. Jesus Christ is my Lord when I am turning my difficulties and my failures into opportunities for spiritual growth.
47
Consider it a great joy, my brothers, whenever you experience various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. But endurance must do its complete work, so that you may be mature and complete, lacking nothing. Now if any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives to all generously and without criticizing, and it will be given to him. James 1:2-5 (HCSB)
48
For You, God, tested us; You refined us as silver is refined… but You brought us out to abundance. Psalms 66:10, 12c (HCSB)
49
7. Jesus Christ is my Lord when knowing Him intimately becomes the obsession of my life.
50
Jesus told her, “Believe Me, woman, an hour is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem. You Samaritans worship what you do not know. We worship what we do know, because salvation is from the Jews. But an hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth. Yes, the Father wants such people to worship Him. John 4:21-23 (HCSB)
51
For we are the circumcision, the ones who serve by the Spirit of God, boast in Christ Jesus, and do not put confidence in the flesh. Philippians 3:3 (HCSB) I will run the course of Your commandments, For You shall enlarge my heart. Psalms 119:32 (NKJV)
52
“Worship is the highest and noblest act that any person can do. When men worship, God is satisfied! And when you worship, you are fulfilled! Think about this: why did Jesus Christ come? He came to make worshipers out of rebels. We who were once self centered have to be completely changed so that we can shift our attention outside of ourselves and become able to worship Him.” Ray Ortland
53
Take my life, lead me, Lord, Make my life useful to Thee, Take my life, lead me, Lord, Make my life useful to Thee. “Take My Life, Lead Me, Lord ”
54
Take my life, teach me, Lord, Make my life useful to Thee, Take my life, teach me, Lord, Make my life useful to Thee. “Take My Life, Lead Me, Lord ”
55
Here I am, send me, Lord, Make my life useful to Thee, Here I am, send me, Lord, Make my life useful to Thee. “Take My Life, Lead Me, Lord ”
