15 ROAD – RAIL – URBAN TRANSPORT Conclusions UNECE Road Transport Agreements are vital to countries -Facilitate international transport and border crossing -Provide for efficiency, harmonize and improve standards -Provide market access, integration, inclusion in globalization -Provide for road safety and environmental performance -Basic tools for common pan-European and Euro-Asian transport space -Unique models for developing national legislation Palestine will benefit from - Using experiences of other countries - Studying international agreements and - Using them as models for developing national legislation An awareness raising workshop on UNECE Main Road Transport Agreements may prove very useful and is highly recommended EuroMed RRU Transport Project Symposium on Transport Ramallah, 13-14 February 2013
