Introduction BuilderMT Cloud MOM Training We will learn how to create: Master Models Master Options Master Items And combine them into a dynamic database that contains all Models, Model-Specific Options, Model- and Option-Specific Items and Quantities, and Global Options Build a Master Model(s) Build a list of Master Options Add the Master Options to a Master Model – they become Model-Specific Options Build a list of Master Items Add the Master Items to Master Options – they become Option-Specific Items

Strategy for Building a Database We’ll be adding Model, Option and Item records to the database so that we can associate them with each other to build the product catalog. Because the records for a Model, an Option and an Item all require that values be entered for Model Status, Option Category, Purchasing Activity, etc., we should build those values and drop-down lists into the application first. We’ll need to consider what values we want to set up for: Trades 16 CSI Divisions work well here Purchasing Activities List of your POs or Pay Points Option Categories Elevations, Structural, Framing, Finishes, Cabinets, Countertops, etc. Model Status Active, Inactive, Under construction, etc. BuilderMT Cloud MOM Training

Setup Menu Custom Fields – use to add any Custom Field that you want to attach to any entity Import Template – use to import all required Custom Fields for our Strategic Partners: Sales Simplicity CGVisions Pipeline + Add Custom Field Name – enter a unique value for the Custom Field (Required) Description – enter a long description for the Custom Field (Required) Type – choose a type from the dropdown list (Required) Big Text - text field (no size limit) Boolean – a “True” or “False” checkbox Date – provides a date format field Floating – a numeric field with a floating decimal point Integer – a numeric field formatted as a whole number Multi-Select – choose one or more choices from a user-defined dropdown list You will need to add available choices in the Add Value dialogue box BuilderMT Cloud MOM Training

Entity – choose the entity you want to attach the Custom Field to (Required) Model Master Option Master Item Purchasing Activity Display Order – choose a number to order the appearance of the Custom Fields on the Entity record (Optional) Required checkbox – check if this field will be required on the entity record Click Create to save the new Custom Field to the database Custom Field grid – Edit an existing Custom Field by clicking on the Name for the field Delete an existing Custom Field by clicking on the “X” in the row header for the field Lookup Tables Select the Table to define Model Status Click + Add value Enter new value into dialogue box Select a value in the grid to edit or delete it Setup Menu (cont’d.) Setup Menu (cont’d.) Option Categories Click + Add Option Category Name – enter unique value for Option category (Required) Description – enter a text description for the category (Required) Option Markup Type – Choose from drop down list (Required) Margin will calculate a “net-net” price where the markup equals the percentage entered (C x (100 - %)/100) Markup will calculate a price where the cost is increased by the percentage entered (C x (1 + %)) Market Price Enter the sales price for the Option ( $ ) Default percentage The default percentage to use to calculate Sales Price for this Option Can be overridden in Sales Pricing setup app Option Category grid Edit an existing Option Category by clicking on the Name Delete an existing Option Category by clicking on the “X” in the row header BuilderMT Cloud MOM Training

Purchasing Activity Click + Add Purchasing Activity Name – enter a unique value for the Purchasing Activity (Required) Description – enter a text description for the Purchasing Activity (Required) Trade – select from drop-down list (Required) Notes – enter any additional or explanatory information about the Purchasing Activity Edit an existing Purchasing Activity by clicking on the Name for the Activity. Delete an existing Purchasing Activity by clicking on the “X” in the row header for the Activity. If any Custom Fields exist for the Purchasing Activity, the Custom Field tab will be enabled. You can address any Custom Field on the Activity by clicking on the appropriate field. BuilderMT Cloud MOM Training

Trades Click + Add Trade to add a Trade to the database. Name – enter a unique ID for the Trade (Required) Hint: use a combination of numeric and text for an ID, as it will be more meaningful in the drop-down list. Description – enter a text description for the Trade (Required) Trade edit grid One can edit a Trade by clicking on its Name One can delete a Trade by clicking the “X” in the row header for the Trade Setup Menu (cont’d.) Users Click + Add User to add a new User to this Account Name – enter a unique ID for the User (Required) Email – enter a valid email address for the User (Required) Roles – enter the appropriate Role(s) for the User from the multi-select drop-down list Admin User Allow API Access checkbox Check to allow this User to have access to the Models and Options Manager API User edit grid One can edit a User by clicking on the User Name One can delete a User by clicking on the “X” in the row header for the User Setup Menu (cont’d.) Add a Model Main Menu > Models > Model Listing > + Add Model Fill in all fields with the appropriate information Name – Must be a unique value or ID for the Model (Required) Alpha, numeric or Alpha-numeric Hint – Use a numeric four or five character ID for the Model, i.e. “2346” Description – Enter a Sales or Marketing description for the Model (Required) Status – Enter the status of the Model from the available drop down list (Optional) Model Size – Enter the size of the Model in whatever units are appropriate (Optional) BuilderMT Cloud MOM Training

Add a Model (cont’d.) Model Size Unit – Enter the unit of measure for the above Model Size (Optional) Notes – Enter any additional information about the Model (Optional) Include Base House Option checkbox – If this box is checked (checked by default), a Base Plan Option will automatically be created and added to the new Model. The Base House Option will automatically inherit the name “2346 - Base”. The Base House Option will automatically be assigned to the “00 Base” Option category. BuilderMT Cloud MOM Training

Add A Master Option Main Menu > Master Option > + Add Option Fill in all Required Fields and any optional fields that you want Name – Unique value (Required) Numeric, alpha or alpha-numeric Hint – Use a five character numeric ID for the Option. Description – Text field (Required) no size limit Option Category – select the Option Category from the available choices in the dropdown list (Required) The Option Categories are set up in the Setup > Option Category > menu BuilderMT Cloud MOM Training

Add A Master Option (cont’d.) Option Size – enter the size of the Option, if applicable, in any unit of measure (Optional) Option Size Unit – enter the unit of measure for the Size entered above (Optional) Notes – enter any notes or explanatory information about the Option Global Option checkbox – check if this Option is a Global Option (same cost on every Model in an Area) BuilderMT Cloud MOM Training

Add Master Options to a Model From the Model Manager screen: Select a Master Model in the left hand Tree view Click on the Model Options tab Already assigned Options will be displayed in a list To assign new or additional Master Options to the Model, click on + Add Options Select one or more Master Options to add to the target Model. Only Master Options that have not been previously assigned to this Model will be available in the list. Global Options are not available to add to a Model. From the Model Listing screen Click on a Model Name Click on + Add Options Select the Option(s) to add and click on Save Changes

Add Master Items Models > Master Items > + Add Item Fill in all fields on the Item Info tab Name – enter a unique value for the Item in the database (Required) Hint – use a numeric or alpha ID for the Item (i.e. 1000 or 2x4x8std) Description – enter a long text description of the Item (Required) no size limit Item Notes – enter additional explanatory information about the Item (Optional) no size limit Default Purchasing Activity – select from the dropdown list (Required) This is the Purchasing Activity that be will assigned to the Item in an Option, unless it is overridden with another Purchasing Activity for use in that Option. This will allow the same Item(s) to be used multiple times in an Option but assigned to different Purchasing Activities as the situation demands. Takeoff Unit of Measure – enter the unit of measure that the Item is counted or measured in. (Required) BuilderMT Cloud MOM Training

Order Unit of Measure – enter the unit of measure that the Item is priced or bought in (Required) Conversion Factor – enter the factor to convert the Takeoff Quantity to the Order Quantity (Required if Takeoff Unit <> Order Unit) i.e. 32 sf plywood = 1 sheet plywood Rounding – choose “None” or “Up to Multiple” from dropdown (Optional) If Round Up is chosen, enter the multiple of the Order Quantity to round to Round 12.4 cy of concrete up to next multiple of 1 will return 13 cy concrete Taxable checkbox – check if sales tax is to be calculated on the Purchase Order Lump Sum checkbox – check if the Item will be used as a Model- or Option-specific cost Item Option Selection – check if the item will have a dropdown list of selection choices available If checked, enter the possible choices for the Item into the “Add Value” box Click Create to save the new item in the database Add Master Items (cont’d.) Master Options grid Click on a Master Option Name to access details for that Option. Option Items tab – to assign Items to Options Click on + Add Items Use this dialogue box to select or multi-select Item(s) to assign to this Master Option Once the Items are assigned to a Master Option, one can: Assign a Quantity to the Item Over-ride the Default Purchasing Activity assignment to define which Purchase Order this Item will appear on A Master Item can be added to a Master Option more than one time This allows for the same Item to be used in an Option with more than one Purchasing Activity attached to it Adding Master Items to Master Options

Quantity Takeoff BuilderMT Cloud MOM Training To create a Quantity Takeoff or Estimate, click on the Quantity Takeoff command In the ensuing dialogue box you’ll see any existing Quantity Takeoffs You can add a new Quantity Takeoff by clicking on + Add Takeoff Enter a Name, a Description and select the “Default Model” for the takeoff Click on the Quantity Takeoff Items tab Select + Add Options Select any Options that you want to add to the Takeoff You can change any PurchasingActivity or Quantity Select + Add Items Select any Items that you want to add to the Takeoff You can specify the Quantity for the Item(s) You can change the Purchasing Activity for any of the Items You should specify an Option Name and Option description for the added Items. Click on the Export tab to export your Quantity Takeoff to an Excel file This Excel file is suitable for import as a Job Estimate into WMS Purchasing

Database Menu The Database menu will inherit the Name of the database that is open. One can switch the application to access other available Database(s). New Database – use to create a new database from scratch Name – enter a unique name for the database (Required) Alpha-numeric, no limit on number of characters Description – enter a description for the database Edit Database – click to change the Name or the Description for the current database Remove Database - click to delete the current Database from Account Export Database – click to export the current database to a file File type – choose from drop-down list Excel file format JSON file format Filename – enter a filename for the exported data Click Export to export the data BuilderMT Cloud MOM Training

Import Database One can import a database from either a Excel file JSON file Enter the name of the file to import Enter a Name for the database Hint: The easiest way to get an Excel file formatted correctly for importing is to: build a few records into each record type in a MoM database Export the database to an Excel file Open that Excel file Append additional records to each of the appropriate record types in the spreadsheet Import the file back into MoM with the same or a different Name. Info Menu About – shows info about the application, including the current version that is running Contact the Developers – enables one to send an email directly to the development team regarding the application BuilderMT Cloud MOM Training

User Menu User Menu – inherits the Name of the User who is currently logged into the app Account – allows the User to access and edit information in their Account Settings – allows the User to access and edit his/her User Name, email address and the Default Database that will open when he/she logs in to the app Change Password – allows the User to change his/her password Logout – allows the User to logout of the app BuilderMT Cloud MOM Training
