John 15: 5 I am the Vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit, apart from me you can do nothing. Jesus is the source of Life – The Vine You can be a productive Christian by remaining in Christ Or you can do the best you can without Christ – Nothing (Dead Works)
14
He wants us to become Fishers of men! Matthew 4:18-23 Jesus wants us to share with others what He has done for us.
15
Perseverance 5. Brief Discipleship Lesson
16
We are to expect resistance; even persecution Knowing that, we must resolve to persevere – keep on keeping on!
17
We want to be accepted by other men and fear their rejection. The Bible instructs us to, “Fear God, not men!” (Proverbs 9:10) “But I'll tell you whom to fear. Fear God, Who has the power to kill you and then throw you into hell. Yes, He's the one to fear.” (Luke 12:5)
18
Remember what Christ has done for you. Remember what Christ has done for everyone!
19
The god of this world has blinded their eyes to spiritual truth! ( II Corinthians 4:4)
20
" Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.” Matthew 7:7 Romans 5:3-4 “More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope.” Galatians 6:9 “And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.” James 1:4
22
God blesses you when you are mocked and persecuted and lied about because you are my followers. Be happy about it! Be very glad! For a great reward awaits you in heaven. And remember, the ancient prophets were persecuted, too. Matthew 5:11-12
23
6. Practice Re-arrange the team into smaller groups of 2 to 3 members Have them discuss what it means to persevere though they meet with rejection and resistance by some. Have the team members read Colossians 1: 22 and discuss how this verse applies to them. Have the team members share their witnessing experiences this past week. Ask each team member to agree to pray for each other. Ask them to pray for the people they know that are away from God. Ask them to pray for the people they know that are away from God.

7. Goal Setting for Session 4 Prayerfully review your list and Add new names as prompted by the Holy Spirit Continue adding to the Christian (G1) Groups with those you have witnessed to that say Yes. Use the Seven Part T4T format for Group Meetings. Meet once a week with your G1 Group Teach your Group the church Ordinances, baptize new believers Identify Leaders (Elders) for your G1 Group – You now have planted a church! Instruct your G1 members to start telling their story to those they know that are away from God
