2. Younger Life He was born on May 17, 1893 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was one of the most creative kids you would ever come across. He loved putting things together.

3. Older Life He went into the military at the age of about 18. He received his first of 40 patients on July 12, 1940. He invented more than 60 inventions. He was known for his inventions: the refrigerator and the self-starting gas engine. He died on February 21, 1961 at the age of 68.

4. Without Him Without him we would still have to turn the bar connected to the engine to start it. Without him we would have no freezer or refrigerated food. Without him it would be hard to start your engine.
