3. Why was this policy adopted? To ensure the use of cell phones and Persona/Portable Electronic Devices (PEDS) does not interfere with teaching and learning during the school day.

4. What are considered Personal/Portable Electronic Devices (PEDS)? The term “cell phone” includes, and is not limited to, iPhones, “smart” phones, Internet enabled phones, and other personal electronics that are capable of placing and/or receiving telephone calls, text messages, creating and distributing videos, and taking photographs.

5. When and where is cell phone use restricted? During school hours On the school bus Outside the school building On the parking lot

6. When and where is cell phone use permitted? Before school hours After school hours In cases of emergency With the teacher’s permission
