Parallelism

So….what is parallelism again? Parallelism, also known as parallel structure, is similarity of structure in a pair or series of related words, phrases, or clauses. Example of a sentence that is NOT parallel: I like to swim, to read, and eating ice cream. The fix: I like to swim, to read, and to eat ice cream.

Parallelism I like TO read, TO write, and TO play. My hair is long, blonde, and straight. They walkED, talkED, jumpED, and nappED all in the same day. That girl is pretty amazing, pretty wonderful, and pretty beautiful. I took a toothbrush, toothpaste, and dental floss on vacation with me.
