5 COURSE SELECTION 1.via student information system/manual operation 2.inter-university 3.Master/Ph.D students choose courses offered by undergraduate program-no credit, pay extra fees(1620), manual operation 4.Time conflict course, re-take the same course/ credit transfer

7 At first, let’s go to NTUST Website http://www.ntust.edu.tw

8 Find “Student Information System” It’s over here !

9 Click “English Version”

10 Student Login Click “Login” button after filling in Student ID and Password. if you press “Enter” on the keyboard, sometimes it doesn’t work

11 Attention to “Curriculum” We’re just need to focus on: 1.Course inquiry system 2.Course selection system

12 Course Inquiry System Course Catalog

13 Select “Graduate program” radio button

14 Select your Department from the combo box

15 Let say, we are going to inquire any courses satisfying following specifications: 1.In the season of Fall Semester 2.Year of 2014 3.At any time 4.Delivered in English

16 Click “Search for Courses”

17 Courses in Department of Chemical Engineering

18 Now, let’s go back th the previous page, and try to inquire ALL department courses

19 Courses in All Departments

20 Click on any course title to see the detail It will open a new browser tab/window

21 Course Outline/Detail

22 Go back to the previous tab/window, select the Course Number and COPY it.

23 Go back to Student Information System menu Click “Course Selection System”

25 Login with your Student ID and Password

26 Click “Select Course System”

27 Paste the “Course Number” into this field Then, click “Adding” button

28 Course Successfully Added

29 Dropping The Course Fill in this field with the “Course Number” you want to drop Then, click “Dropping” button to drop the course

30 Course Successfully Dropped

31 INTER-UNIVERSITY COURSE SELECTION Graduate program: no more than 1/3 of required graduation credits in total. Undergraduate program: maximum two courses or six credits each semester. 1. The National Taiwan University Alliance (NTUST, NTU, NTNU) select course from student information system 2.Other universities-submit paper application form and pay credits fees.

32 LEAVE OF ABSENCE Maximum: 2 years Fill out application form and leaving procedure Return school leaving form after completing leaving procedures Certificate for leave of absence ARC will be suspended during absence period Required graduation credits / required courses
