8.  I need to show the expanded form for 36 x 0.26 as an expresssion.  So, I can make 36 into 30 + 6.  I can make 0.26 into.2 +.06  Therefore,  (30 + 6) x (.2 +.06) would be my expression in expanded form.  I don’t need to find an answer when it is an expression.

9.  First, I need to solve the problem, because the PRODUCT is the answer to a MULTIPLICATION problem.  My factors are 3.5 and 1.73  I put 1.73 on top of 3.5 because it have more digits.  1.73  X3.5  _____  6.055  So the place value of the decimal in the product is  thousandths
