What is Dual Enrollment? Dual Enrollment is when a student takes a class at the high school level and can receive both high school credit and college credit at the same time.

Who qualifies? Level 1 – students with a 18 and 20 composite on PLAN Test or students with an 18 on the ACT in English or 19 in Math Level 2 – Development al classes 15, 16, 17 Level 3 – Non-transferable classes KHS focus is on 1 and 2.

Suggested Plan English 101 and 102 Algebra and Trigonometry LVS Dual Enrollment

Student Cost Students who do not qualify – tuition is reduced to half $165.00 per course for college courses and & $ 150.00 for LVS Course

Benefits Continued: Students can earn college credit. This is a motivator for master teachers. It encourages teachers to pursue masters in their content area. It will help schools increase their SPS scores. It helps schools to provide a more rigorous curriculum.

How to check if your high school JUMP START class is accepted at the university of your choice. Go to www.regents.state.la.uswww.regents.state.la.us Click on graduation hat. Click on transfer equalivancies. Fill out appropriate information. South Louisiana Community College
