8. 3. What is the difference between being indicted on a crime and being found guilty of a crime? An Indictment means that the jury has found enough evidence to think that the person may be guilty of a crime and should be charged. After an indictment the person will have to go through a trial to determine if they are guilty or not

9. 4. What does the 5 th amendment say about double jeopardy? A person who is found not guilty of a crime cannot be charged with the same crime again. Even if more evidence is found that proves the person is guilty.

Defendant: 11-year-old little league baseball player Claim: Wrongful warm-up Details: A New Jersey little leaguer was tossing around before a game in 2010 when the ball got away from him and found Elizabeth Lloyd’s face. The child asked her if she was all right, she responded affirmatively, then filed a lawsuit against him and his family for a half million dollars in medical costs, pain and suffering a few weeks later. Result: Little league insurance policies don’t cover spectators, so the kid’s on his own. The case is still pending.

Result: A judge dismissed the woman from the complaint, and cited GPS devices, large billboards and push notifications from news websites as similar distractions that drivers have the responsibility to avoid
