Actions to improve patients' rights: ICA has prepared a booklet summarizing the rights of cancer patients. ICA is expanding exercise of rights NII gives patients an option to travel aboard, expand health care and special legislation such as: prohibition of discrimination based on genetic diagnosis etc.. Society is putting pressure on policy makers on issues related to increasing budget and updating drug basket and inclusion of new drugs needed for patients, maintain and improve their rights.

Association takes care of cancer patients by exercising their rights such as treatments in hospitals, discounts, exemptions and assistance health funds, advices, support and rehabilitation, pensions, employment, acquisition and circulation of equipment, treatments conservation infertility, palliative care and long term care, financial assistance and other benefits, benefits children, taxes and different populations-All of these things are a lot of operating rights for cancer patients. ICA is trying to realize the right of life and security.

Suzie (Shoshana) Eban (1921-15 September 2011)- Was the founder of the ICA and the wife of Abba Eban. Prof. Aaron Ciechanover (born in October 1, 1947)-Nobel Prize winner for chemistry in 2004. Professor Eliezer Robinson (born in 1930) -is an Israeli oncologist, who serves as chairman of the ICA. Well served as president of the International Union Against Cancer (UICC-Union for International Cancer Control) Miri Ziv-CEO of the Association, was selected for a second term of the Management Committee of the UICC. ICA’s target is to reduce morbidity and mortality from cancer in Israel: Funding support and promotion of cancer research. Programs for prevention and early detection of cancer and the public information system and professionals. Assistance in upgrading medical services and rehabilitation oncology centers, at home and in the community for cancer patients, recovering them and their families. Assistance in setting up and running treatment centers, inpatient and welfare. Promotion of patients' rights and improve their lives. Information dissemination healthy, sick and recovering: in Hebrew, Arabic and Russian.
