2  First Conditional sentences(real possibilities) express a possible condition and it is probable result in the future. Condition Result If I buy a new jacket, I will phone you.

3  Positive  We will go for a trip, if the weather is good.  Negative  You will not be able to go, if you lose your ticket.  Question  What will you do, if you win a new car?

4  If he goes there every day, he knows a lot of about problem.  If you are sick, go home.

5  If they come, we will go to the pub.  If I buy a new jacket, I will phone you.  If she comes in the classroom, he will go out.

6  If he went there, he helped them.  If she did not lose the keys, she did not have any problems.

7  The Second Conditional expresses an unreal situation and its probably result. The situation is imaginary.  If he was a ghost, he would walk through the walls.  If I were a president, I would reduce taxes.

8  Other modal verbs can be used in the Second Conditional.  I could buy some new television if I had some money.  I might be able to save up for a car if I saved a little every week.

9 Present and future  He would go if the weather was fine.  If she knew about it, she would visit them. Past  He would have gone if the weather had been fine.  If she had known about it, she would have visited them.

10  Negative  I would give up my job if I did not like it.  If the weather had not been bad, we would have gone there.  If he lost wallet, he woud not have been happy.  Question  What would you do if you w o n five millions?
