2 WASTE FACTS The Problems: Landfill sites are toxic, filling fast and new sites are difficult to find. Energy and resources are wasted when we don’t recycle Only ¼ of our waste needs to go to landfill Typical Waste Stream Composition

7 The Principal said…let’s aim for no food scraps in landfill. Put it in the scrap buckets for the garden. The teachers said…the playground is quite clean but waste free lunches would help. Too many packets…try fresh food. The Admin Staff said…we use lots of paper and recycle as much as possible or use email instead of printing. The G.A said…I work hard to keep our school looking good…help me by reducing, re-using and recycling. Students said… we could do better by using the right bins. We should help each other to remember.
