IFMP is an Agency-wide initiative to modernize and improve NASA’s business processes and systems centered around financial management, procurement, human resources, and logistics. Page 4 April 1, 2003 Langley Research Center Contractor Forum_040103_Final.ppt Cutover is the period between when the Center’s legacy systems will be closed for business processing and the SAP-based Core Financial system “goes live” LaRC’s Financial System will be shut down in mid May Invoices LaRC will pay all approved invoices that are received by May 7 th Invoices not received and approved by May 7 th may not be paid until after “Go Live” Address potential invoice issues (award fee payments, milestone payments, progress payments, etc.) as soon as possible to provide for timely contractual adjustments in order to avoid the need to submit an invoice during the shutdown period. Page 5 April 1, 2003 Langley Research Center Contractor Forum_040103_Final.ppt If applicable to your contract, LaRC is requesting that contractors/vendors submit Contractor Financial Management Reports (NASA Form 533M) for April no later than, but preferably before May 5th Costs for the latter part of April may have to be estimated May 533M should identify any adjustments made to costs and hours reported for April NF-533 Monthly Contractor Cost Reports

Page 6 April 1, 2003 Langley Research Center Contractor Forum_040103_Final.ppt SAP R/3 (software being implemented by the Core Financial Project) is designed to accept and process the monthly contractor cost report in electronic format The Excel Spreadsheet Template for the Electronic NF-533 will not be finalized/ready for use until October 2003, at the earliest There are numerous advantages when submitting the NF- 533 electronically: Paperless Files can be stored on soft and hard copy May streamline completion of the 533 (electronic v. manual) NF-533 Monthly Reports With Core Financial

Page 8 April 1, 2003 Langley Research Center Contractor Forum_040103_Final.ppt Points To Remember Invoices need to be submitted in a timely manner All invoices “on-hand” as of May 7 will be processed at cutover Cage Codes are required in SAP Information on how to request Cage Codes can be obtained by visiting the Central Contractor Registration Web site at: https://www.ccr.dlis.dla.mil/ccr/scripts/index.html https://www.ccr.dlis.dla.mil/ccr/scripts/index.html Detailed communications will be disseminated via NAIS (NASA Acquisition Internet Service) Where possible, Contracting Specialists will obligate adequate funding through July (at a minimum)
