2 Fats  Excellent for storing energy.  When extra energy is needed, fat can be broken down (but this is harder to do than carbs).  Also aid in the absorption of vitamins and insulate the body.

4 Types of Fats  Saturated Fats:  Solid at room temperature.  Animal fats.  Harder to break down and increase cholesterol levels.  Unsaturated Fats:  Liquid at room temp.  Vegetable fats.  Easier to break down.

5 Cholesterol  A white, waxy substance similar to fat.  Found only in animal products.  We need some to keep cell membranes healthy.  But our bodies produce enough.  Too much will clog blood vessels and restrict blood flow.
