Did you know that water has an important role in shaping the land and landforms may change the direction and flow of water? I just thought you would like to know the important role water has in shaping land. Water on Earth is constantly moving and changing states. Water continually changes from liquid to solid to gas and back to liquid in a process called the water cycle.

Did you know that water has an important role in shaping the land and landforms may change the direction and flow of water? I just thought you would like to know the important role water has in shaping land. Water molecules on Earth constantly go through this cycle as evaporation, condensation, and precipitation. Life on Earth depends on the water cycle working as it has for billions of years.

Did you know that water has an important role in shaping the land and landforms may change the direction and flow of water? I just thought you would like to know the important role water has in shaping land. The condensed water molecules fall to Earth as precipitation in the form of rain, sleet, snow, or hail. This precipitation collects in lakes, oceans, rivers, soil and rocks.

I just thought you would like to know the important role water has in shaping land. Over time, streams and rivers change the shape of the Earth’s surface. The water in streams and rivers erode and carry away rocks and soil.

I just thought you would like to know the important role water has in shaping land. The properties of soil can change the way it is eroded and deposited. Different types of soil can retain or hold different amounts of water.
