What is WorkKeys ACT WorkKeys is a job skills assessment system that helps employers select, hire, train, develop, and retain a high- performance workforce. This series of tests measures foundational and soft skills and offers specialized assessments to target institutional needs.

What is WorkKeys con’t designed to measure students' career readiness as they prepare to enter the workforce by assessing their abilities in three core areas: Applied Mathematics, Locating Information and Reading for Information. These are high stakes test used to get a job, keep a job or job promotion.

Why WorkKeys In addition, the North Carolina State Board of Education voted in December 2011 to include results from the ACT and WorkKeys in the READY school accountability model.

Graduates who are Career and Technical Education Completers Graduates who are on-track or may be a Completer by Graduation EligibleStudents Eligible Students Accountability Determination 1.Graduates 2.CTE Completer 3.WorkKeys Score

The WorkKeys Business Rule Identify all public school students who are projected to graduate in the 2013-14 school year as Career and Technical Education (CTE) concentrators or expected to be concentrators. These students are required to complete the WorkKeys assessments.

Impact of Not Testing If graduates who are CTE Concentrators are not tested, the participation rate may be impacted If 95 % Participation is not met… Year 1: Letters to parents with the participation rate Year 2: Action plan Year 3: Difference between participation and 95 % = percent of scores flipped to non-Silver

CRC Certificate Levels There are four certification levels: Platinum-score 6 Gold- score 5 Silver- score 4 Bronze-score 3
