Mme Savoie About me: I was born and raised in Fredericton, New Brunswick I graduated from St. Thomas University with a double major in French and English Literature I completed teachers college at the University of New Brunswick and have qualifications to teach French as a Second Language and English

3. What do I teach this year? Grade 8 Core French R8D (homeroom) R8C and R8G

4. How can you help your child learn French? 1.Look for opportunities to include French in family outings 2.Encourage your child to read in French (great books can be found at the public library and La Librairie du Soleil 3.Buy a French magazine subscription in your child’s name 4.Encourage your child to watch French-language television programs 5.Watch movies in French with subtitles 6.Encourage them to volunteer/work in a bilingual environment (museums and summer camps have rich programs 7.Encourage them to use French-language learning software (a great free one can be found here: www.bbc.co.uk/languages/french) www.bbc.co.uk/languages/french 8.Stay positive and supportive!
