7 Patient & Public Involvement Forum Some of our achievements Regular meetings regarding Serious Untoward Incidents and production of ‘Patients Charter’ Reported on A&E Services for Mental Health Patients (Basildon & Southend) Investigated and reported to HOSC on ‘Out of Hours Services’ Crisis Cards launched by SEPT

8 Patient & Public Involvement Forum Some of our achievements Worked with SEPT on Advance Directives (Living Wills) Anti Stigma talks to schools Staff Presence on Wards – pilot on Boleyn Review of Patient Advice & Liaison Services Participate in Patient Environment Assessment Team Visits.

9 Patient & Public Involvement Forum Ongoing & Future Plans 2006/07 We will continue to work on issues already identified and, time permitting, additional areas of concern: Lack of local Mother & Baby Unit Drug and Alcohol Services Carers’ Assessments Dual Diagnosis Eating Disorders

10 Patient & Public Involvement Forum In Conclusion Continue to fulfil our statutory role for the Patients and Public that we represent. Ensure that our work is not lost. Member representative at a CPPIH / All Party Meeting with MPs on 30 October.
