2 Vision and Successes My vision for the students / teachers / community is for the students to learn meaningful connections with Indigenous culture. The integration of Indigenous Art and culture has been successfully applied to R-7 Art classes. Year 4 and year 7 teachers will include Indigenous perspectives in their History units in 2013 as a result of my Focus teacher process. 14 Challenges Finding the right timing to introduce ACARA history perspectives with the staff for inclusion in History curriculum. The process has revealed some adults do not have the same open mind as the students do towards Indigenous Australia. (Subtle but evident). This is an opportunity to drive the purpose of changing the curriculum and learning experiences to support positive attitudes and knowledge of our Indigenous culture and the other Cross Curriculum priorities such as Asia.

15 My learning The format of planning units is enhanced by ATSI team at CEO’s knowledge and resources Getting ideas from other Focus teachers to apply at school Specific knowledge such as Lake Mungo Interactive Program Links to Indigenous artists and performers
