Coaching for Results All current Assistant Principals have participated or will participate Curriculum focus for helping leaders improve skills: –System for creative thinking and solution finding –Focus on language that builds trust, confidence, and competence –Effective communication, such as committed listening powerful paraphrasing, presuming positive intent, and reflective feedback

Interview Boot Camp Offered in spring of 2012 for current Assistant Principals Voluntary Required preparation by participants Components –Mock interview –15-20 minute prepared presentation –Self analysis of interview (required to view video)

New Administrator Boot Camp Offered each summer Training focus includes: –Quality Defined process –Role of administrators in campus PLCs –Administrator Discipline Guide –Principals toolkit –Staff Development and Curriculum Overview

Problem of Practice Observation of Practice Observation Debrief Next Level of Work School identifies a problem of practice that Observable Actionable Connects to a broader strategy of improvement Observation teams collect specific data related to the problem of practice Observation teams discuss the data identifying Patterns Contrasts Evidence that supports the problem of practice Questions for the campus Information from the Instructional Rounds process is shared with the campus administrator(s) so the campus can determine next steps for their work.
