For the "Welcome to the e-smith server and gateway" message and the "Service LINK License Agreement"

2. Install – Cont. –6)Tab to the "ACCEPT" choice and press Enter –7)Select (up/down arrow) "Install using Single Hard Drive (tab to choice) –8)Tab to "OK" and press Enter –9)Type "proceed" at the prompt –10)Tab to the "OK" choice and press Enter –11)Wait…. (for formatting, file transfer, etc.)

3. Install –Cont. –12)When prompted to create a Boot Diskette, insert a diskette in the drive and type press Enter to select "Yes" –13)Press Enter to select "OK" –14)Press Enter and be ready to eject the CD. –15)Remove the CD while the system is shutting down. –16)Remove the boot floppy. –17)Wait… for the reboot process to complete.

4. Configuring the SME5 Server –1)When prompted for the admin password, type in a password, press Enter –2)Retype the password, press Enter –3)Tab to "Yes" press Enter –4)Enter a valid IP Address from your local network for the domain name. –5)Tab to "next" and press Enter

5. Configure –Cont. –6)Type in a server name (i.e. SME5, e-smith, etc.) tab to "Next", press Enter –7)Confirm that your Ethernet card has been detected. Press Enter to select. – 8)Enter the IP Address you used for the domain name. –9)Tab to "Next" and press Enter

Configure –Cont. –10)Enter the subnet mask for your network (255.255.255.___) –11)Tab to "Next" and press Enter –12)Operation Mode: arrow down to option 3 (Server Only), tab to "Next", Press Enter –13)Gateway: Enter your gateway IP address (router, Ethernet port, firewall, etc.) –14)Tab to "Next" press Enter

10. UpDating the SME5 Server (Currently, skip the next 2 slides for SME v5.1.2) Through a web browser enter your “IP address/server-manager” in the URL address space and press enter. –111.222.33.44/server-manager Login as “admin” Enter your server password

11. Updating –Cont. Scroll down to “Administration” and click on the selection “Blades” Click “install” on the supported Blades –(You should install each supported Blade) Click “yes” to the license agreements Wait for completion message. –It will take a few minutes, be patient and only click once.
