Learning Targets Learning targets are crafted by teachers and used during lessons to guide students towards what is expected. “Look-fors” help students know what they can do to reach the learning target Can be short or long term 6

Standards Based Reporting Learning targets are based on standards from the Lincoln Learning Expectations, which are based on state and national standards Our report card is organized by standards with descriptions for the grade level. Important highlights include –Growth as a learner section and academic achievement section –Effort and academic achievement are separate We use a 4, 3, 2, 1 scoring system on individual assessments as well as on report cards 4: yes, and 3: yes 2: yes, but 1: not yet 7
