2 You can see our continents on a map or a globe.
A globe is a three-dimensional scale model of Earth. The word "globe" comes from the Latin word globus, meaning round mass or sphere.

3 A map is… a drawing or other representation, usually on a flat surface, of all or part of the earth's surface, ordinarily showing countries, bodies of water, cities, mountains, etc.

4 What is a continent? A continent is one of several large landmasses on Earth.

5 What are landmasses? Large areas of land.

6 What is a land mass? Land mass refers to the total area of a country or geographical region (which may include discontinuous pieces of land such as islands).

A continent is one of several large landmasses on Earth. There are seven continents – they are (from largest in size to smallest): Asia, Africa, North America, South America, Antarctica, Europe, and Australia
