3 Who get’s it? -More than 90 percent of people with lupus erythematosus are women between the ages of 15 and 45. African American, Latina, Asian, and Native American women are at greater risk of getting lupus than white women. 4 You might have Lupis Erythematosus if you experience… Chest pain when taking a deep breath Fatigue Fever with no other cause General discomfort, uneasiness, or an ill feeling. Hair loss Mouth sores Sensitivity to sunlight Skin rash -- a "butterfly" rash over the cheeks and bridge of the nose affects about half of people. 5 CURE: - There is no specific cure of Lupis Erythematosus. The goal is to keep your symptoms controlled. - Whenever in the sun, keep protective and wear sunscreen, sunglasses, and protective clothing. - If you have it its important to have: Preventive heart care Up-to-date immunizations Tests to screen for thinning of the bones. If the Lupis Erythematosus isn’t treated or controlled then.. Inflamed kidneys, which may cause no pain but can be detected with urine and blood tests. Central nervous system problems, such as headaches, dizziness, difficulty concentrating, mood swings or seizures Tissue death, caused when the blood supply to certain areas is reduced.
