Serve healthy meals.

4. During a test: Read directions carefully.
Complete the questions you know for sure.
Eliminate wrong answers on multiple choice questions.
Check your work if you have time.
Have extra pencils and erasers.
Pace yourself.

5. Test-taking secrets (Shhh!)
If you finish your test, and still have items you have not finished, keep these secrets in mind:

Words like “no, never, none, always” usually imply false statements.
Every part of a true sentence must be true.

7. For short answer tests, use grammatical clues, think of several different answers, and if you will not be penalized, take a guess. Write your answers short and simple.

8. For an essay exam:
Set up a time schedule to answer each question. Prioritize your time. Begin with a strong first sentence.
Develop your argument.
Then summarize in your last paragraph.
Review, edit, and correct.
