Are you ready to learn? Now that you are an expert at nouns, lets make them more interesting. The following tutorial will help you understand adjectives. yellow arrowUnless you are given other directions, use the computers mouse to click on the yellow arrow to continue. Whats an adjective? Click on the green crayon to find out!

Adjectives are… words that describe nouns. For example: I live in a blue house. adj. noun

Adjectives make sentences more interesting.

Without adjectives: The students went to school after the snowstorm.

Now with adjectives: The fifth grade students went to their new school after the huge snowstorm.

Adjectives can tell what kind. For example: I have a large class.

Adjectives can also tell how many. For example: The boy has twelve Yo-gi-oh cards.

So when you are searching for adjectives ask yourself… what kind? Or how many?
