Big Idea!! The Developmental Theory Trust vs. Mistrust-Birth to one year. It effects frustration, suspicion, and self confidence. Autonomy vs. Shame and Doubt-Ages 2-3. Child encounters rules. Sense of self-control. Initiative vs. Guilt-Ages 4-5. Finds out who they are going to be. Develops responsibility which increases initiative. Guilt is compensated by accomplishment. Industry vs. Inferiority- Age 6-puberty. Child wants to enter the larger world of knowledge and work. Exposed to technology etc. Learning occurs in many places.
