4 Widgetbox Update Flite.com is retiring their Widgetbox service We host a large portion of our widgets there Widgetbox will go dark March 28, 2014 Flite.com has/is an alternative hosting solution. Jan 21 st notice went out to widget developers Inventory your widgets Get the word out to widget developers that may have been left off the list (Contact Karl Chan) Get Flite training Migrate your widget(s) by March 28. 8 Analysis and Usability Section EERE has posted a large amount of new content in the Analysis and Usability section: eere.energy.gov/communicationstandards/analysis_usability.html The new content includes: An introduction to User-Centered Design (UCD) A PDF full of best practices for many kinds of UCD projects Optional example templates that show what kind of content you might collect or record during UCD projects.

9 Analysis and Usability Section We also have a new page on the Paperwork Reduction Act: eere.energy.gov/communicationstandards/paperwork_reduction_act.html This explains the process for collecting user information for surveys or usability tests.

16 News and Blog Feeds on Topic Landing Pages EERE news and blogs are tagged with topics that align with each technology office. Topic landing pages pull the technology- specific news and blogs from each feed.

17 Tagging Content to Create Dynamic Lists Dynamic lists in energy.gov EERE websites may create dynamic, auto-populated lists on energy.gov for articles, download pages, and events. On your sites, this content: Is timely Includes dates Is auto-populated Is listed in reverse chronological order.

18 Tagging Content to Create Dynamic Lists Goal Provide EERE content contributors with a simple and intuitive system Allow site owners to quickly and easily tag their content Is consistent with energy.gov’s guidance of only tagging content that will be displayed using dynamic lists.
