5 What is the goal of the CLP? An effective Rotary club that pursues the Object of Rotary, carrying out activities along each Avenue of Service

6 An effective Rotary Club..... Sustains and increases membership Implements successful Service Projects Supports the Rotary Foundation Develops leaders at club level and above Creates awareness of Rotary in the wider community The CLP is designed to help clubs achieve these goals

7 Current Club Leadership/Management structure Club executive Elected council members Service chairpersons Club liaison officers Club officers

8 Proposed structure….. Is a recommended leadership/management structure for Rotary clubs, based on best practice Provides a template for a standard structure in every club, which is replicated at District and RIBI level Puts emphasis on long term planning (including succession planning)

10 New CLP structure Club council ( executive + elected) Membership committee Service projects committee Club public relations committee Foundation committee Administration committee

11 Club Council Club Executive (President, president elect etc + elected council members - between 3 and 6 as per constitution) Responsible for the management of club business, finance, location, admitting new members, discipline etc

12 Membership committee Role is to develop and implement a comprehensive plan for the recruitment and retention of members.

13 Membership - Chair Vice President Membership development Membership retention Family of Rotary Rotaract Mentoring (inc info for new members) Attendance Classification Fellowship

14 Service Projects committee Role is to develop and implement educational, humanitarian and vocational projects that address the needs of its community and communities in other countries.

15 Service Projects - Chair President Elect International Community and Vocational (includes Environmental officer) Youth Activities (includes Youth Exchange and Interact)

16 Club Public Relations committee Role is to develop and implement plans to provide the public with information about Rotary and to promote the club’s service projects and activities.

17 Club Public Relations – Chair Vice President Communications Newsletter Club photographer IT Webmaster Reception TABU

18 The Rotary Foundation committee Role is to develop and implement plans to support The Rotary Foundation through both financial contributions and program participation.

19 Administration committee Role is to conduct activities associated with the effective operation of the club.
