2
2 The Minerva Project? The Minerva Project began as a concept of the Member Education Committee in 1997. The idea was to enable ALL of our members to be able to address the numerous challenges facing Greeks today, specifically the challenges that AE faces.
3
3 What is The Minerva Project? It is an all-encompassing program that involves ALL MEMBERS of the Fraternity. It will enhance the individual faculties of each member, including but not limited to moral, mental, social, physical, cultural, and spiritual growth through four developmental components. Cultivate in ALL of our members a LIFETIME commitment to their chapter, community, province, and the international organization.
4
4 What makes it different? INVOLVES EVERY MEMBER IT IS NOT A “PLEDGE EDUCATION” “PLEDGE PROGRAM”…4,6,8 weeks then nothing. “MEMBER EDUCATION PROGRAM”…continuous education. “RUSH”…period during process. “RECRUITMENT”…process. It is not just a change in terminology, but a change in philosophy and attitude.

Improves retention of New Members and keeps the interest of ALL members for the entire undergraduate career. Develops “Recruitment”-minded members who attract the best men. Makes Sigma Alpha Epsilon a value-based organization. Educates & attracts more and new alumni & volunteers. Keeps the focus of the chapter on using and understanding our Ritual and living the life of a “True Gentleman.”
