Science; Business Law 3 (soon 11) Master Programs 3 Doctoral and PhD Programs - Almost 200 partner universities abroad - Proportion of international students: 25 % - Semester dates (01.10.-31.01. and 01.02.-30.06.)

4 Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration International Studies Center  JOSZEF Program Idea JOSZEF is a supplementary 2-semester study program in German and partly in English that provides a practice-oriented qualification in business administration & management preparing students from the WU and Central & Eastern Europe for a management career in CEE.

13 Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration International Studies Center  Internship Acquire practical experience on the job, gain insights in a firm Duration: minimum of 4 weeks, maximum of 3 months, no work permission needed Continuous employement at the same firm, primarily in a German-speaking environment (English too) Minimum pay of EUR 550 per month BUT: We cannot guarantee an internship „Marketplace“: application & interview

14 Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration International Studies Center  Profile of JOSZEF Candidate Advanced stage (close to completion) of bachelor studies or other 3-4 year basic studies in Business Administration or Economics at the home university Very good command of German and a good knowledge of English Excellent study performance/progress Personality with the potential for a future management position (or expert position)

Application at the home university & pre-selection by local JOSZEF coordinator (during spring term) Required application documents: Curriculum Vitae in German Letter of Motivation in German Proof of excellent German language skills Proof of solide English language skills Proof of student in good standing (study performance) Documentation of work experience/internships Hand in your application to your local JOSZEF coordinator. S/he will forward it to the JOSZEF coordinator at the WU Wien.

17 Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration International Studies Center  Services for Exchange Students I International Studies Center (ZAS) Main contact point for all exchange students The ZAS (Zentrum für Auslandsstudien) supports all incoming and outgoing exchange students Web: www.wu-wien.ac.at/isc Housing Service OeAD offers housing for exchange students if the application is done before the deadline. Information on the residence halls can be found on the ZAS/OeAD website. Rent usually ranges from EUR 250 to EUR 350 per month Web: www.wu-wien.ac.at/isc/exchange/prep/housing, www.oead.ac.at Academic Advisors For each of the WU partner universities, one member of WU faculty serves as an academic advisor. The acadmic advisor gives advice and support in academic matters

18 Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration International Studies Center Services for Exchange Students II Orientation and Cultural Program (OK-Program) Program This program is offered two weeks before the start of the semester and offers exchange students the opportunity to gain insight into Austrian cultural and business life Intensive German Language Course Preparatory language courses at different levels that are organized two weeks before the start of the semester Buddy Network Students Association provides foreign exchange students with a „buddy“ (i. e. WU student who gives assistance during stay at WU) Organization of various activities for exchange students (study trips, cultural and sports events, parties)
