A reflexive pronoun is used as the object of a verb or preposition when the subject of the sentence and the object are the same person.

Reflexive pronouns are also used for emphasis! Example: Did someone send the report to Mr. Jones? Yes, I myself sent the report to him. (Yes, I sent the report to him myself.)
