2. What is a Festival?

3. What is the MSF?  Provides financial assistance for medical, dental and respite care and support  For Freemasons, their wives, partners and dependants  Who have an identified need and are waiting for treatment or care  And cannot afford private care without incurring financial hardship.

4. What has it done?  Provided £40m in grants to over 8,000 applicants since 1990  £494k in grants to 82 applicants in Derbyshire in the same period.

5. Its achievement … So far … “No qualifying petitioner has been refused relief due to a lack of resources” but …

6. During 2009 MSF is expecting to  receive more applications  give £4million in grants That’s nearly £11,000 per day

12. What does the future hold for the MSF?  Global financial situation –Less self-funding –Decrease in donations  Increased demand –Aging population –By 2025 1.9 million over the age of 90  New demand in new areas –Such as degenerative diseases
