11 Remember Big Mama the Elephant? She’s the one leading the herd. Let’s say Big Mama started to run. She ran 123 yards ahead of the herd. Then, she ran another 257 yards leaving the herd behind her. How many yards did Big Mama run in all? Big Mama

12 Big Mama has made the rest of the herd VERY angry! She is supposed to be their leader, and she just ran away! To get even, the smallest elephant, Tiny Ted, decides to take the herd to a new watering hole. He needs to travel North about 40 miles away. He walks the herd across the water.
