2  Ad Populum-Conclusion that an argument is true since majority or all people believe it.  Appeal to Popularity- an idea is true because it is widely accepted.  Bandwagon-a theory where one individual takes part in an activity only because others are too.

3 Most individuals invest in Apple products rather than other top competitors (Android, Windows, ect) Individuals often take stands in politics because of popular influence by that region. Social media is often depicted by bandwagon as more and more discover new ways of keeping up with blogs and fan pages.

4 Abigail: …. I go back to Jesus; I kiss His hand. I saw Sarah good with the Devil! I saw Goody Osburn with the Devil! I saw Bridget Bishop with the Devil! ( As she is speaking, Betty is rising from the bed, a fever in her eyes, and picks up the chant.) Betty: ( Staring too). I saw George Jacobs with the Devil! I saw Goody Howe with the Devil! Abigail: I saw Goody Sibber with the Devil!( It is rising to a great glee.) Betty: I saw Alice Barrow with the Devil! Abigail: I saw Goody Hawkins with the Devil! Betty: I saw Goody Bibber with the Devil! Abigail: I saw Goody Booth with the Devil! (Act I page 189) Rationale: As Abigail speaks about Sarah Good’s involvement with the Devil, Betty jumps on the bandwagon and chants the names of suspects who are involved with witch craft. When one starts, the other chimes in.

5 Mary Warren: She sees nothin’! Abigail: ( now staring full front as through hypnotized, and mimicking the exact tone of Mary Warren’s cry.) Mary Warren ( pleading): Abby, you musn’t! Abigail and all the girls: ( All transfixed). Abby, you musn’t! Mary Warren: ( to all the girls). I’m here, I’m here! Girls: I’m here, I’m here! Danforth: (horrified). Mary Warren! Draw back your spirit out of them! Mary Warren: Mr. Danforth! Girls: (Cutting her off). Mr. Danforth! (Act III Page 225) Rationale: Again, this is a bandwagon. The girls are committing the fallacy as they repeat everything Mary Warren says to Danforth. Since one does it, they all do it.
