Un poco de la clase The goal- emphasis on performance We will be focusing on “what can they do with the language?” Authentic materials – Students will be using real-life materials in Spanish, not just text book materials. These can be youtube videos, articles from newspapers, tweets in Spanish, etc.

Un poco de la clase Grading : 90% summative assessments (essays, listening activties, reading activities, presentations, projects) 10% formative assessmentes class work and practice work

What your student can do if he or she needs help… See me: before school, 1 st, 4 rd, 6 th, 7 th and after school. (just give me a heads up ) 5 th hour Spanish resource in library. QUIZLET Wordplay – vocab Conjuguemos – grammar Spanishlistening. Com – listening

How can studying a world language in high school help your student if s/he goes to college? a graduation requirement for world language Usually 4 years of high school or 2 years at university level have a world language entrance requirement. Usually 2 years of high school A student could receive about 8-16 credits if s/he studied a world language for 4 years at high school level. Earn College Credit and MOST COLLEGES Save $3,000 - $20,000 in tuition
