2  The iPod is a portable music player developed by Apple Computer. Though it is an Apple product, the iPod can be used with both Macs and PCs.

3 To listen to MP3s on your computer, you'll need an MP3 player like Null soft Win amp (for Windows) or Apple iTunes (for Mac and Windows). Most MP3 players also allow you to create MP3 files from CD audio tracks or other from other audio file types.

4 On October 23, 2001 Steve jobs forever changed the course of media and entertainment distribution when he unveiled his creation, the Apple IPod.

5 The German company Fraunhofer- Gesellshaft developed MP3 technology and now licenses the patent rights to the audio compression technology - United States Patent 5,579,430 for a "digital encoding process".

6 The world’s best-selling music player has changed a lot from the time it got launched to the current period. The day it got launched in October 23, 2001 the whole world was amazed with this awesome Gizmo which was in a white color panel with 5Gb Memory Hard Disk to store up to 1000 songs along with the Revolutionary Click Wheel.

7 The 3rd Generation iPod Shuffle was launched in 2009 which was more small in size but bigger in length with no controls on the players because the earphones cable was going to handle that. It came with a feature called ‘Voiceover’ which would tell you the name of the track which is being placed and this is quite useful because there is no display to read the track names. Available in just 2 colors Black & silver it had a 4Gb memory capacity.
